Long stem things of beauty
Created by the good Lord
Cut down in the prime of their lives
Boxed up, wrapped in paper
Delivered to your front door
Just to wind up in your garbage can outside

Tell me how many flowers have to die
Before you give this love another try
I've asked you to forgive me at least 9 dozen times
Tell me how many flowers have to die
Brad Paisley - Flowers

Tried my hand at fixing the framing again

When I saw this pop up in my inbox it immediately grabbed my attention. Most macro shots don't have a sky. And that's what makes this piece stand out amongst others.

I think it would have looked even better if it was taken from a higher angle, it will cut out something of the sky, but will show you some more detail of the orange wildflower.

Perhaps a little bit more contrast, combined with a different frame could make the flower pop out better, chopping some of the bottom and the sky would make your eyes directly focus on the flower, rather than the overall picture.
What do you think?

"I'm so bad at framing"

I personally would have taken a bit more of the sky away, not much, maybe to just above that green spike in the middle. The main focus is obviously the flower and so much sky above detracts from it, otherwise this is a lovely shot, the colours and depth of field are great! A good shot, which I think you are capable of improving on. Remember "the only time we stop learning is when we put our wooden overcoat on!"

Thanks so much for your comment, I wanted the sky to be very visible but i think it takes away from the flower, defiantly going to crop it now.

"I'm bad at framing"

It's okay, I am bad at framing too. xD With birds it is easier since after ward, I just crop with more space in the direction the bird is heading. But flowers aren't birds.
Yeah, the framing isn't that good, it makes it seem more like a random snapshot. I do love the colors though. Try taking the photos from different viewpoints...like from below or super close(but not so the flower becomes a total blur) from the top.

Haha well we can hopefully learn,
this was cropped from a bigger one I just had no idea how to crop it properly and I do have other viewpoints from the flower. Thanks for the help :)
